Xiao Long Kan, a hot pot that makes you hot. Because we didn’t take a dip this summer, or dipped anything else, we decided to dip our food. So here we are at Xiao Long Kan, a typically Chinese restaurant that does nothing but hot pot.
The concept is simple: you choose your broth (tomato, mushroom or spicy) and what you want to eat from a wide selection of meats, fish and vegetables. The real plus? The incredible sauce bar, where you can concoct as many sauces as you like. For around €25, Mattéo and I busted our guts.
However, a word of advice: the Chinese don’t mess around with chillies. We tried the chilli broth and chilli sauces, and I have to tell you, it wasn’t Mattéo who made me hot. For once, it was my mouth that was on fire…
