Le Pain retrouvé, it has truly risen. Sunday, days of rest, but above all days to become a Parisian bobo! No time to lose, just out of mass, I cook myself a nice meal and set off for my Sunday walk. But my Way of the Cross isn’t so simple: as I go along, I feel I’m losing something. Something inside me is disappearing. The burden becomes heavier and heavier, and I can only submit to the inevitability of the situation: I’m hungry. Then, nailed by the gurgling of my stomach, death slowly approaching, I have no hope left. But in the murkiest darkness, I find the light again, a tantalizing smell escaping from the Rue des Martyrs. So I follow it until I reach Pain Retrouvé. I ask exhaustedly for a pistachio babka, and then it’s liberation, I transcend myself. And then I shout: “It has risen! It has truly risen! Yes, my hunger was gone and my sweet tooth resurrected. In a few words, rush to Le Pain Retrouvé, the few pennies you’ll drop will be worth more than the ecstasy you’ll have, similar to that of Saint Theresa.
