Café Ella, or where to find the most affordable brunch. Real PPPs know: brunch in Paris is hell. Dry pancakes, dodgy salmon slices, half an avocado on a half-empty plate… been there, done that. And all this while queuing for 40 years in the cold because “NO RESERVATIONS” for a bill of 40€ per person. In short, a real nightmare. So when I’m offered a 23€ brunch with a sweet dish, a savory dish, a hot drink and a cold drink, the day after a hot swingers’ party that really whetted my appetite, I come harder than I did last night. And what’s more, it tastes good! Double orgasm! And as it’s in the heart of the 15th arrondissement, there’s always room! Triple orgasm! My go to is the Egg Benedict with salmon and the caramel, banana and cashew pancakes, which are just indecent! So there’s only one thing you can do when you walk out of there: sing France Gall at the top of your lungs, because yes, Ella’s got it, the best brunch plan in Paris.
