Malro, to slay all night long. I was looking for a restaurant for a special occasion – a date, – but between the Michelin-starred restaurants that cost a first penny and the slightly chic restaurants run by two-bit influencers that cost a second penny and are not very good, I was a little desperate. I was advised to go to Malro, where I booked a table straight away.
I did things the right way: a little stroll, a little drink and then, bam, the surprise: Malro, a restaurant with an absolutely magnificent industrial ambience, with a big glass wall and a raw ceiling, but at the same time modern and intimate, with subdued lighting and a wonderful perfume.
But hey, let’s not talk too much, let’s talk about sex… er, no, food. And it was delicious, with several starters to share (which I highly recommend you do) in Mediterranean flavors: polpette, chackchouka, vitello tonato… A real favorite is the tuna gravlax with Moroccan tea, which is indecent. It’s a pleasure to see recipes that change and twist a little. In short, everything I love.
5 appetizers and a dessert to share later, we were full, like REALLY full, with one small munch to fill. Don’t worry, we filled it well afterwards 😉
