“My job is to make you the best sandwich of your life. To eat it, we’ll just have to manage.” Between this philosophical fulgurance and the name of his restaurant, Alain Roussel’s ambition is clear. Here, nothing is left to chance: the bread, among other things, is made by the baker next door, every meat is raced and labeled, and if you add to that the generosity of the sandwich, it’s impossible to find better for 10€. Alain’s is a victim of its own success, so don’t be afraid of being tight if you eat there. Nevertheless, it’s cheaper to take your order to go, so you can enjoy the beauty of the Marais. The métropolitain tips: don’t come during rush hour if you want to be served quickly, and finish off with a cup of tea
